The IVIG Infusion Process

Intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) infusions may be given in the hospital, physician office or patient's home. Regardless of the location, nurses are responsible for administering the majority of IVIG infusions. It is essential that nurses be familiar with the core protocols which support patient safety and treatment efficacy.
